Sarah Foreman's Profile

Sarah has an extensive background in Office Administration, having undertaken various roles throughout her professional career.  Prior to coming to the Institute she completed a double degree in Arts and Secondary Education at Murdoch University.  During this time Sarah was involved in the STAR peer tutoring program which saw her utilize her skills to assist local high school students.  For the past six months Sarah has been working as a relief teacher in the state school system.  During her time at Murdoch Sarah prepared a social justice education program for students.  This was submitted into a state wide competition and was later published in a student reader for future Society and Environment teachers.

Sarah is currently working part time on completing her honours degree in History at Murdoch University.  Her interest in social justice is reflected in her topic which explores the short term and long term impact of PTSD on post WWII British society.  Inspired by outstanding mentors Sarah’s interest in social justice issues has grown considerably over the last seven years.  As a newcomer to a Social Justice working environment, Sarah is excited to learn more about social justice issues and is looking forward to becoming a more globally aware citizen.  Sarah is hoping to find practical ways to support social justice in both her personal and professional life, and ultimately inspiring others to do the same.

When not working or studying Sarah enjoys being a parent to her son Kyle.  In her spare time she enjoys bush walking, reading, cooking, visiting museums and art galleries and spending time with family and friends.
