Who is Edmund Rice?

Edmund Rice lived in Ireland from 1762 to 1844.  As a widower, he founded the Christian Brothers order, leaving it a vision of particular commitment to the poor and to education.

This memory has inspired the Christian Brothers in Western Australia and South Australia to provide us with a building and to underwrite our operating costs for a couple of years.  The intention is to provide our Institute with a springboard from which to build financial self-sufficiency.   Our Institute is named in honour of their founding commitment to the work we do.

We hope that you might join us in this grand endeavour, in multiple forms.  The Christian Brothers' seed funding will only be ‘watered’ through the support of the rest of the community - via registration in our education and training programs, individual and corporate donations, and grants and bequests.  In turn, our undertaking to you is that you feel we honour your support with organisational excellence.
