Volunteer Training

Important Update:

Due to the global finance crisis, we have regrettably had to place a temporary 'hold' on our Volunteers program.  The Institute is keen to restore our program as soon as possible.

That's great news, and thank you! 

Once you've forwarded your Volunteer Application Form (PDF 106.59Kb), we require you to undertake specific Volunteer Training  Upon completion of the training you will receive a Certificate of Achievement followed by placement.

This specialised training incorporates:

• Volunteer training afternoon,
• Volunteer placement opportunites,
• Insurance cover
• ongoing support from the Institute, and
• ongoing experience and skills that come from volunteering with the ERISJ

We are also working on a project to deliver the Certificates II and III in Volunteering, a nationally recognised qualification in conjunction with a Registered Training Organisation. The current time frame for this is from the second half of 2009.

Once you have completed the Volunteer Training we will then schedule you in for an interview with our Volunteer & Internship Coordinator to work together to find the right volunteer position for you.
